Strategic Planning
TSM provides a complete package of engineering
disciplines and program management capabilities to assist
customers in all phases of planning and execution of a variety
of system/equipment modifications, logistics evaluations, and
life-cycle support. TSM has developed and is currently
implementing a strategic plan for the Defense Ammunition
Center’s out-loading system automation. Embodied within the plan
is the creation of an automated conveyer system combined with
robotic forklifts for use in selecting ammunition types and
building strategic ammunition loads for worldwide distribution.
Concept Development and Requirements
Analysis
Based upon an approved strategic plan, TSM develops a
structured concept for a planned acquisition and conducts a
requirements analysis to ensure solid grounding of each program
in verifiable needs of the customer. We employ a rigorous
financial analysis to examine cost of ownership and cost-benefit
alternatives.
System Design Engineering
Integration
TSM develops production schedules, conducts design
reviews, and performs logistics support analysis reviews;
evaluation of human engineering and reliability/maintainability/availability issues; and
implements a host of configuration and quality
control procedures to ensure conformance with system design
specifications for new equipment and modifications of existing
equipment. These processes involve extensive evaluation of
engineering plans, documents, and drawings, as well as
one-on-one interaction with system engineers and vendors.
Test & Evaluation
TSM serves as an Integrated Product Team member,
working with our customer prior to introduction of new systems
and major overhaul of existing systems, to identify potential
problems with design, system integration, environmental factors,
and supportability of the system under test. We develop a Test
and Evaluation master plan and test procedures,
monitoring and conduct of testing, and validation of procedures,
all give our customer the assurance that their new system will
fit seamlessly into existing platforms.

services. Our well-rounded engineering staff is dedicated to
inspired design and development of mission and mission support
systems for military and commercial applications. TSM’s engineering
staff capability encompasses acquisition and life-cycle support
services for an array of systems including: Trident, Seawolf, and
SSGN submarines; Army ammunition out-loading automation; sea-state
simulation; ammunition maintenance shelter design and fabrication;
and fire suppression systems.
