This is a demonstration of the TSM Corporation's miniFIDES 336, a standalone fire detection and suppression system. The fixture is a replica - an exact replica - of the fire test fixture used at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The tires in the fixture are 40 inches high. The fuel in the fixture is kerosene, which is equivalent to JP-8. And the gasoline that's being splashed on the tires and in the tires is regular automobile gasoline.
This is a thermal check, which is a back-up check for fire detection. This optical sensor in these units has been disabled. We are now ready to run the test.
