IV Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) created
by TSM merge training with technical documentation. Our
systems approach to providing technical information embraces
John Sweller's Cognitive Load Theory by using a multimedia
mix to deliver balanced packaging of information. According
to Clark and Mayer, this approach results in an 80 percent
mean gain in comprehension. In productive terms, TSM's
approach significantly reduces time spent reading and
assimilating information from technical manuals, technical
orders, and other publications.
TSM's 20 plus years of technical writing experience include
documentation for both commercial and military applications.
Technical documentation development efforts have been
implemented for the following:
Department of Defense (DoD)
(Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps)
Department of Homeland
Security (Coast Guard, Emergency Preparedness &
Response)
Federal Aviation
Administration
Foreign Military Sales
FedEx
CalSpan Corporation
IBM Corporation
Raytheon/Hughes
Lockheed Martin
Northrop Grumman (TRW)
Development efforts include documentation sets supporting
major weapons systems such as the H-60 helicopter, and other
highly sophisticated systems such as the EP-3E ARIES II,
AN/BQQ-5, AN/TSC-115, LAMPS MK III, Hawk, and AN/BSY-1.
Documentation has been developed for a variety of training
devices, microminiature component repair processes,
automatic test sets, and automated systems such as the
Marine Air-Ground Intelligence System.
Development experience includes:
Organizational-,
intermediate-, and depot-level maintenance manuals
