TSM
has an 18-year history of involvement in Air Force, Navy,
and Marine Corps C-130 training support. This training
support effort includes the Combat Talon II, KC-130, and a
number of other variants. Interactive Courseware (ICW) development covers a
full range of instructional methods and media to include
mediated interactive lecture, computer-based training (CBT),
interactive courseware, and interactive multimedia
instruction. Electronic classrooms have been configured and
outfitted with server and student stations working via local
area network.
Training efforts range from factory training for new weapon
systems to platform instruction, and include full motion
simulator instructors, flight instructors, and mission
systems instructors.
C-130 training delivery methodologies employ an array of
distributed learning alternatives such
as using sharable content object reference model (SCORM)-compliant
technology, web-enabled technology, extranet, intranet, and
virtual private networking. Training has also been delivered
using CD ROM and other digital media.
