TRAINING SYSTEMS
Core Competencies

Training systems, courseware, schoolhouse
operations, education, and career development comprise TSM’s
training core. Within each venue, TSM has dedicated
professionals engaged in energizing Department of Defense personnel through
targeted education and training. TSM’s Career Development
Systems® utilizes the
3-D Process: Design, Develop, Deliver System®
to show you how to accelerate your organization and career,
by starting from a strategic perspective, through molding of
your operational perspective, and finally to the tactical
perspective required to accomplish your goals. Formal courses of instruction are available for
operators and maintainers in web-based training (WBT),
computer-based training (CBT), and mediated interactive
lectures. Whether you need a complete training system or
just a single course, TSM delivers.
ELEMENTS
Career Development
The key to gaining a sustainable competitive
advantage is obtaining, developing, and then retaining the
thinking skills of your best employees. A robust workforce
strategy is built on attracting the right people, hiring them,
placing your gained talent in positions where they help achieve
business objectives, and then retaining them. TSM’s 3-D Process:
Design, Develop, Deliver System®
will set you on the path to higher profits and lower employee
turnover.
Training Systems
Emerging technology drives training
requirements for operators and maintainers to
support fielded systems. TSM is currently working
with the US Marine Corps to develop a training system
for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV). This
training system, as well as others developed by TSM,
including the C-130T, EP-3E, and SH-60B aircraft , involves
engineering, cost analysis, acquisition support,
system design and development, test and evaluation,
delivery, and, in some cases, facility design and
construction. Our training systems employ an array
of methods and media, including schoolhouse and
Distance Learning (DL) with worldwide connectivity.
Schoolhouse Operations
Where a brick and mortar learning environment is
needed, TSM offers turn-key products and processes. Working
closely with Chief of the Navy Reserve, we are completing a
specialized schoolhouse for Navy Reserves with a 500-student
annual throughput. The school will offer operator training for
C-130, C-9, and C-40 aircraft with ground school, level D flight
simulators, and flight syllabus. Schoolhouse innovations will
include e-classrooms, self-paced WBT/CBT, and crew coordination
training.
Courseware Development
Today TSM develops the most sophisticated level IV
WBT available. Creating a new benchmark for DL,
we have designed and fielded training courses involving
troubleshooting and circuit analysis to enable budding
technicians to become proficient without attending a formal
brick and mortar school. Our 21st Century approach avoids the
cost of building and staffing a schoolhouse while simultaneously
allowing students to engage in a real-world work environment to
practice what they learn in real time.
Education
The Naval Postgraduate School has retained TSM to support
DL at the Trident Training
Facility for its Master of Science in Mechanical
Engineering degree program for nuclear trained
officers. This program is designed to accelerate the
best and brightest in their career advancement and
professional goals.
